2021 MBB recruiting, commit. Signed

It appears that WSU MBB has a single signee for the 2021 season.  This is Myles Rice a 6'2  176 lb PG out of Georgia has committed to the Cougars.  According to his HS page he has signed.

Rice is a 3-Star player who has really taken off this summer as he played for the high powered Atlanta Celtics AAU team.  Played with two 5-star players this summer so it used to high competition.

Rice can play on and off the ball and has the tools that Kyle Smith looks for in players.  Creates for others but can also create for himself.  "Heady" is often the word that pundits use in describing Rice.

He is transferring to Sandy Creek in Georgia for his Senior year of High School.  He will play with Jabari Smith in his final prep campaign.

Georgia Elite Fall League

A comment from the current Georgia Elite Fall League, "Showed tremendous versatility as he finished in the lane in transition, while also went to the post when he was defended by smaller guards. But I was most impressed with his ability to find and create scoring opportunities for his teammates in transition and the half-court."

With all of the Covid stuff it appears that Rice will be the only signing.  Also it might well indicate that Walk-on JC Myles Fitzgerald-Warren might receive the other scholarship.  It is also unclear if the two 2020 graduates might not both be back for another campaign.
